From Wyoming with Love: The Madison McKinley Comanche Necklace

Inspired by the vast landscapes, cowboy lifestyle and self-reliant artisans of Buffalo, Wyoming, jewelry designer Madison McKinley’s creations are as unique as they are transporting. Throughout her childhood, the artist spent summers at her family's ranch in Buffalo, where she worked alongside her artist grandmother in her studio, painting, sketching, and designing her future collection.

Launched in 2017, the Madison McKinley line is a result of those efforts, American-crafted in workshops in Buffalo, Wyoming and Dallas, Texas. The line includes vintage pieces—cameos, micromosaics, and old coins—as well as handmade beads, precious and semi-precious stones, and delicate gold chains that are ideal for layering. In short, it’s a line that caters to real-life cowgirls—or those who are simply cowgirls at heart.

The artist’s gold Comanche Necklace ($750) is the embodiment of the brand’s western-rustic-meets-city-girl sensibility.

The 18” gold-filled chain holds a delicate 10K-gold horse head pendant, looking just as proud and wind-swept as the prairie it calls home.
