How we collect information about you

When you use Equineer Inc. Services, we collect information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone or other access device. The information sent to us may include your computer IP address, unique device identifiers, the type of operating system you’re using, your location or GPS/geo-location, mobile network information, your mobile number, email address, standard web log data and other information. Web log data includes the browser type you’re using and traffic to and from our site. When you use the Equineer Inc. Services, we also collect information about your transactions and your activities, including financial and payment information. In addition, if you open an Equineer Inc. account or use the Equineer Inc. Services, we may collect the following types of information: Contact information, such as your name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, password, and other similar information. Financial information, such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers. Detailed personal information such as your gender, date of birth, or social security number. Detailed information on horses you own or have access to including: name, national and international registration numbers, microchip numbers, medical history, and financial records, You may choose to provide us with access to other personal information, including photos, and other documents related to a purchase transaction or to other use of the Equineer Inc. Services. In order to help protect you from fraud and misuse of your personal information, we may collect information about your use and interaction with the Equineer Inc. Services. For example, we may evaluate your computer, mobile phone or other access device to identify any malicious software or activity. How we use Cookies When you use the Equineer Inc. Services, we (including companies we work with) may place small data files on your computer or other device. We retain information as long as it is necessary and relevant for our operations, typically for as long as a user has an account, though in some instances information may be stored after an account is closed. Likewise if your account or membership is terminated or suspended, we may maintain some information to prevent re-registration. How we use the personal information we collect Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a secure, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We may use your personal information to: provide the Equineer Inc. Services and customer support; connect you with relevant clients or businesses; process and analyze transactions and send you notices about your transactions; determine your location and the location of merchants, and to correlate your location with transaction activity; verify your identity; prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our Terms of Use; customize, measure, and improve the Equineer Inc. Services and the content, layout, and operation of our website and application; create new tools, analytics, social graphs and algorithms; conduct academic and social (behavioral) research, including publishing reports, academic and white papers; deliver service update notices and promotional offers; communicate with you. How we share personal information with other parties We may share your personal information with: Financial and banking institutions that we partner with. Credit bureaus and collection agencies to report account information, as permitted by law. Other business entities, should we plan to merge with or be acquired by that business entity. Should such a combination occur, we will make reasonable efforts to request that the new combined entity follow this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information would be used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice. Law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process or requirement applicable to Equineer Inc. or one of its affiliates; when we need to do so to comply with law or credit card rules; or when we believe, in our sole discretion, that the disclosure of personal information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity or to investigate violations of our Terms of Use. Equineer Inc. may share anonymous information with third party partners for market research purposes. How you can restrict Equineer Inc. from collecting or sharing your personal information Equineer Inc. maintains your preferences for use, collection, and sharing of information, including how we contact you. Some federal and state laws allow you to restrict the sharing of your personal information in certain instances. You can change your preferences by emailing info@equineerapp.com indicating that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications. Alternatively you may opt out of our email communications by tapping “unsubscribe” and the bottom of any mass email sent by Equineer Inc. How you can access or change your personal information You can review and edit your personal information at any time by logging in to your account and reviewing your account settings and profile. To request to close your Equineer Inc. account, you must put the statement “Delete Account” in the body of your request, as well as your name, street address, city, state, and zip code. If you close your Equineer Inc. account, we will mark your account in our database as "Closed," but may retain personal information from your account to collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Use, or take other actions as required or permitted by law. Notice to California Residents Residents of the State of California may request a list of all third parties to which our online service has disclosed certain personal information (as defined by California law) during the preceding year for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and want such a list, please contact us at info@theponyapp.com. For all requests, you must put the statement “Your California Privacy Rights” in the body of your request, as well as your name, street address, city, state, and zip code. In the body of your request, please provide enough information for us to determine if this applies to you. You need to attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for our response. Please note that we will not accept requests via the telephone, mail, or by facsimile, and we are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, or that do not have complete information. California Business & Professions Code Section 22575(b) (as amended effective January 1, 2014) provides that California residents are entitled to know how Equineer Inc. responds to “Do Not Track” browser settings. Equineer Inc. does not currently take actions to respond to Do Not Track signals because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed. We continue to review new technologies and may adopt any particular technology standard at some point in the future. Children's Privacy The Site is a general audience site and it is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information via our websites, applications, services, or tools from users in this age group.
